Dhuppani Waterfall is located at Orachhari in Farua union of Bilachhari upazila of Rangamati district. Many people also call it Dupani Jharna. Earlier, it was hidden from public view, but in the year 2000, a Buddhist monk started meditating in the deep forest under the Duppani fountain. At first he meditated in this place continuously for about 03 months night and day. Later, when the local people came to know that the Buddhist monk was going to serve at a certain time or occasion of the day, this fountain became known to the people.
In the word tanchangya, Dhup means white and Pani is called water, meaning a fountain of white water. Basically the water of this fountain is clear and when its water falls from a very high place it is only seen as white. That is why it is called Dhup Pani. Its height from the plane is about 150 meters. It is home to various wild animals like deer, wild boar, wild cat and snake. Even occasionally, tigers and bears are spotted there. The sound of the water rushing from this spring can be heard from a distance of about 2 km. And in the rainy season it proves to be more distant.
